Let me tell you about one of our best chiefs who resides at the chief’s house. His name is Chief Brandon. He is from the Ulysses Congregation. His favorite color is blue but his favorite color to wear is black. His heart is not black though. Chief Brandon is currently supervisor for the Trailblazer group but he is planning on moving to the education director role. He bought me a really cool looking plant but unfortunately the plant is going through chemo therapy at the moment and is not feeling as good as it once was. Someone thought maybe they had heard the plant mention a few phrases like sunset years and I’m not who I once was but it could have been a trick of the light.
Chief Brandon also has some Columbia boots in his possession. He has been owner/operator of these boots for probably 7 to 8 years. In a direct quote from Brandon he stated that he can’t remember ever not having them. He also likes lions and leopards. He says he likes leopards better but he acts like he likes lions better.
If you are wondering why I’m writing about him, it is his fault because he told me to. I have been wanting to write this last month but it has been quite the month. I have been feeling to down and overwhelmed on my off days to write about camp because it was not what I wanted to think about at the moment. Last session was a really hard session. As to why I am not totally sure. I don’t enjoy writing about the low times and maybe that’s why I haven’t felt like writing.
I got to go home this homestay and see my home which was precious. Five stars. I also attended my best friend’s wedding which was a really good time.
Chief Tye took my place as chief for the Trailblazers and I moved to supervisor for the group. I learning a new role but so far I have been enjoying it very much. I have moved to the top of Chuckwagon and I now have my own little room. My room was not very aesthetically pleasing so I right away started in on some modifications. So far I am very happy with the way it is turning out but I still have a lot of work to do. Chief Jake is the other occupant of Chuckwagon. He is the Supervisor for the Frontiersman. He is from Kansas. Maybe Durham. We are both a 3 on the enneagram scale. I see a lot of similarities in our personalities. I am looking forward to getting to know him more. I am going on duty in the morning. The future is looking bright. I am pleased that I have the privilege to spend a little time in this amazing place with amazing people working together and helping some amazing kids.
Thank you for all the prayers, they really did pull us through.
Christmas is right around the corner! Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. There is just a Christmas feeling in the air that feels so warm. My family is picking me up from here and taking me to a cabin in Tennessee for Christmas so I am very excited about that.
